Erik Michielsen

Erik Michielsen is founder and CEO of Capture Your Flag. He founded Capture Your Flag in 2009 to promote Near Peer Learning as an approachable alternative to expert- and peer-based learning. An expert interviewer, Michielsen facilitates knowledge sharing by interviewing select rising leaders annually, charting their development over time to document ways aspirational careers develop. Interviews are segmented by question, creating knowledge rich and thematic driven video learning experiences used by millions worldwide. Before Capture Your Flag, Erik honed his passions for interviewing, rising leaders and idea innovation as an executive with boutique research firm ABI Research. He is a board member to non-profit Kilifi Kids and its mission to eradicate child malnutrition by using mobile health solutions. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. Erik loves competing in both cooking competitions and long distance races, including the 2009, 2010, and 2013 New York City marathons.

Alan McNab

Alan McNab is a marketing executive working at Cisco in the Global Go To Market Small Cells and Services group.  He is based in Dublin, Ireland. McNab holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Trinity College in Dublin. 

Alayne Cotterill

Alayne Cotterill is a wildlife biologist based in the African Savanna. She is currently Research Director at Ewaso Lions, working with Kenyan lions and other large carnivores to produce co-existence between people and wildlife. In February 2014, Cotterill earned a PhD at Lady Margaret Hall at Oxford University, focusing her research on adaptations in the behavioral ecology in response to the risk of human-caused mortality.

Josep Oriol

Josep Oriol is an East African-based venture capitalist at the Ciel Group KIBO Fund.  Oriol is also a Partner at Conservation Capital, a financial investment and advisory firm specializing in conservation-related projects.

Maurizio de Franciscis

Maurizio de Franciscis is former General Electric (GE) executive and Internet entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in general management, corporate finance and business development in the US, the UK, and Brazil. He currently managing director at Braven Partners, a boutique corporate advisory firm based in São Paulo, Brazil.
